Breaking News: WWE Releases The Wyatt Sicks, Aleister Black, MCMG, Kairi Sane & More - Main Roster List

With all the pomp and circumstance that comes with WrestleMania season, one of the unfortunate things that always seems to happen right after is the complete opposite of the celebration as World Wrestling Entertainment always seems to release a number of talent. Despite being in their most profitable season, the greed of a billion dollar corporation sees no end with budget cuts being cited as a reason to always take all that profit and somehow lead into firing more people.

As per usual, this is now happening again, with reports coming in just before the Friday Night SmackDown episode on April 24, 2026 about a number of releases.

Also of note, these releases are being announced by the talent themselves or through sources like Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp breaking the news by reporting on it from their contacts, as opposed to WWE and TKO having the decency to make these announcements on their own.

This is a breaking story that will likely include other names being added to the mix, but as of 6 pm ET, five WWE Superstars have been released.

Here is a breakdown of those names as they are coming in:

Given the circumstances, it can be assumed the rest of The Wyatt Sicks will be on this list of departures as well, but Erick Rowan and Dexter Lumis have yet to be reported as released.

As always, hopefully all of these released talents will be able to bounce back in some shape or form, whether that is being picked up by other companies like All Elite Wrestling or moving on to other careers.
