Last night's episode of SmackDown was scheduled to open with a sit-down interview with Brock Lesnar, hosted by Michael Cole. Instead, The Beast made his way to the ring, manhandled Cole, and ultimately hit Corey Graves with not one, but two brutal F5s.
Backstage, Lesnar ran into his old advocate, Paul Heyman, suggesting they should talk. Could he eventually join The Vision? We'll have to wait and see, but this could be the start of a long-awaited Lesnar vs. Bron Breakker match.
Now, much has been said about which bout will be the main event of Wrestlepalooza. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar would make sense, as would CM Punk and AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
Well, it's been confirmed today that Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship will headline the first WWE PLE on ESPN. That suggests something big will happen, whether it's a title change or perhaps even a Randy Orton heel turn.
SmackDown ended with the contract signing between Rhodes and McIntyre, though the Scottish Warrior was the one who walked away standing tall after once again laying waste to the American Nightmare.
