Triple H isn’t a fan of being cool.

In the midst of the WWE and R-truth drama, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Carlito revealed that WWE also opted against re-signing him to a new deal. It was quite bizarre since Carlito was a prominent member of the Judgment Day and WWE didn’t make any effort to try and kick him out.

Still, Carlito's return was somewhat of a success. While the 46-year-old wasn't given much of a push as a singles act, he had plenty of fun moments throughout his two-year tenure.

Fresh off his departure from WWE, Carlito sat down with Busted Open Radio and gave more of an inside scoop about the company’s plans for him and the former WWE star feels that Triple H just isn’t a fan of the character.

"I orchestrated that [him joining Judgment Day). Some people were complaining, 'They have him as an idiot,' but those were all my ideas. I took, literally, 'creative has nothing for you,' and I made something of it. I went in there and I said, 'I'm not going to complain.' I'm one of the older guys, I'm not going to get prioritized and I'm not gonna get pushed, and Hunter [Triple H] is not a fan of Carlito.

I think he personally likes me, but I think he was never a big fan of the character. What I did was, 'I'm in the Judgment Day, it's the hottest group here, how can I stay in this group? Boom. This is what it's missing.' The writers were great, they gave me a bunch of freedom.

They would come to me and say, 'We have this backstage (segment), we don't really have anything for you here, but we were hoping you would Carlito-fy it,' is what they would say. I would find where I could do something. It took off from there and every week it was great. They gave me total freedom to do whatever I wanted,"

Check out the full interview where Carlito goes deeper into detail about his WWE career, his plans following his release, and so much more! It’s a shame that WWE couldn’t come up with more ideas for Carlito. It makes sense why Triple H didn’t give him a sustained push, but Carlito could’ve added some value to the up-and-coming stars beyond being comedic talent. Either way, he’s wishing the best of luck to the former WWE star in his future endeavors. Hopefully, we see Carlito in the future, even just for a cameo.
