CM Punk and Seth Rollins still hate one another.
CM Punk may be focused on the WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena this Saturday, but he still has some lingering issues with Seth Rollins. Those issues escalated at Fanatics fest where Rollins and Punk came to blows. Well…sort of.
It’s not clear how it got started, but it might’ve been as simple as CM Punk and Seth Rollins saw each other and wanted to fight. We’ll see if WWE follows up on the altercation on the final RAW before Night of Champions. Likely, WWE is just keeping kayfabe alive with Punk and Rollins.
These two have been feuding ever since Punk’s return in November 2023. The pair was originally scheduled to face one another at WrestleMania 40, but that didn’t happen due to injury. However, Punk and Rollins remained in contact with one another throughout the year until they finally came to blows on the RAW Netflix premiere.
CM Punk won that round. However, Seth won the Steel Cage match thanks to Roman Reigns. Reigns, Rollins, and Punk had an epic triple threat match at WrestleMania 41 where Paul Heyman turned on both Reigns and Punk. That allowed Seth Rollins to get the win. The very next night, Rollins aligned himself with Bron Breakker and they beat the snot out of Punk and Reigns.
Rollins has managed to get the best of the former WWE Champion since WrestleMania, but Punk's focus for now is towards John Cena. As for Rollins, he’s enjoying life as Mr. Money in the Bank. Could he cash in on Cena this Saturday?
We’ll surely find out! Rollins brilliantly pulled off the heist of the century at WrestleMania 32, so it would be cool if he did it against his biggest rivals in the past ten years.
Punk is scheduled to be on RAW tonight. It’s also been confirmed that Rollins, Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman will be on RAW as well. Will there be another confrontation on tonight’s episode? We’ll find out in a couple of hours. Though given the massive Pipe Bomb that John Cena delivered on Friday Night Smackdown, it would be surprising if that isn’t the focus first and foremost.
