CM Punk's outspoken nature is a big part of what makes him so much fun to watch and the Best in the World kicked off RAW last night with a scathing verbal attack on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena.
The latter turned heel at Elimination Chamber by aligning with the Final Boss and brutally attacking Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. It's a moment that's broken the internet, but after Cena beat Punk inside the Chamber, the Second City Saint had plenty to say.
Most of his frustrations were aimed at The Rock. "I came back into the WWE after 10 years and literally marched through hell to receive opportunities at the big dance. And you, Mr. Midlife Crisis, just decide to walk in when you feel like it and hide behind the fact that you think you're a bigger star than everybody here."
"I would love to say all of this to your face, but you have not graced us with your presence to do your bullshit, to hit your arm, to pretend that you care about this business that gives you goosebumps. I have never been so delusional. I have never been so desperate to wear a fake title," Punk added, referring to Johnson's widely ridiculed People's Championship.
He also labelled Johnson a "bald fraud" and made it clear he wants a piece of Cena somewhere down the line. However, before getting much further, Seth Rollins hit the ring for a brawl that extended to the backstage area (remember, it was down to him that Punk lost to Cena on Saturday).
Once they were separated, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed they'll do battle inside a Steel Cage when the show heads to Madison Square Garden next Monday.
As of now, there's no clear direction for either Punk or Rollins at WrestleMania, though the expectation is that we'll get a Triple Threat Match involving Roman Reigns after what happened at the Royal Rumble last month.
