Smackdown is in Chicago.
You know that CM Punk will be in Chicago anytime WWE heads to his hometown. But CM Punk may not come alone. At Clash in Paris, CM Punk was screwed over once again, but by Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.
Lynch came out the following night and aired her grievances on why she doesn’t like CM Punk. But it didn’t just end there as Lynch put her hands on the former WWE Champion. Multiple times! And CM Punk made her a promise that she will never forget; that Lynch will regret putting her hands on him.
Is that a sign for the return of former WWE Diva’s Champion AJ Lee? Rumors have been popping up left and right about one of the biggest stars to come out of the diva’s era. Lee was a popular figure that was elevated due to her tremendous mic word and impressive wrestling skills. It’s been ten years since Lee has been in a wrestling ring. Will the former WWE Diva’s Champion come back to whoop some Becky ass? Or does CM Punk have another woman for the job?
Also, this is reportedly John Cena’s final appearance in Chicago. The former WWE Undisputed Champion has a love/hate relationship with the city, but tonight is all about business. John still wants his revenge against Brock Lesnar. The “Beast Incarnate” attacked him at Summerslam for unknown reasons and John will surely demand a response from the returning WWE star.
Sami Zayn is scheduled to appear live. The new United States Champion beat Solo Sikoa to win the belt for the first time in his career. But his rivalry with Solo and MFT is far from over. Can Solo and MFT get a measure of revenge tonight?
Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton have unfinished business. The former is looking to get an Undisputed Championship match, but he has to get through the third generation wrestler first. Will tonight be another RKO for the Scotland native? Or will McIntyre get some measure of revenge?
