Starting tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, CM Punk came out to cut a promo about what happened at WWE WrestleMania 41 with Paul Heyman betraying him to align with Seth Rollins. Last week, Punk got involved in The Visionary's match against Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship, costing Rollins a potential title win, but hadn't addressed anything yet.
After being warned by others that Heyman is a snake, Punk is more upset with himself for ignoring that advice and giving Heyman the benefit of the doubt that he had grown as a human being since the last time he had turned on Punk. As he talked about what he's going to do when he gets his hands on him, Heyman came out along with Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.
Rollins talked some trash about how Punk always makes himself out to be a martyr and that he could make that happen, siccing Breakker on him and starting a fight.
Punk was backed up by Sami Zayn and then eventually Jey Uso to run off the heels. A few segments later, it was announced that Punk and Zayn will team up with each other to face Rollins and Breakker at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event XXXIX, which will go down May 24, 2025 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
Their ally, Uso, will also be on the card, as he had been previously announced to face Logan Paul for the World Heavyweight Championship.
It's been rumored that John Cena will face R-Truth and put the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line, particularly after Cena put R-Truth through a table at the WWE Backlash press conference post-show, but that has yet to be confirmed and likely won't be until at least this upcoming episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Here is the updated card for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 39:
- Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul
- Tag Team Match: CM Punk and Seth Rollins vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman)
- [RUMORED] Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: John Cena (c) vs. R-Truth
