Two more big things have been added to the lineup for the premiere of WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix scheduled for January 6, 2025.
To go along with the previously announced marquee match of Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat fight for the ula fala (and seemingly, the rights to call themselves The Tribal Chief), we now also know that CM Punk will face Seth "Freakin" Rollins on January 6th.
This announcement was made by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce on the December 16, 2024 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw as a result of a heated confrontation between Punk and Rollins at the start of Raw, where the two badmouthed each other and eventually brawled in the crowd.
Clearly, the tension between them has reached a boiling point, and Adam Pearce has had enough, booking the match they both have been wanting for quite some time, as their feud goes back at the very least to WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 when CM Punk made his return to WWE and it upset a good portion of the roster, including Seth Rollins, who had previously called him a "cancer" to the locker room and didn't wish that he would come back to the company whatsoever.
Their issues go back years prior, which has been folded into this storyline, and will likely make for an explosive bout.
On top of this, WWE also put out a quick teaser that is quite the mystery, as it was simply a symbol - Ø to be exact - with no words or clarification beyond that. It did get immediately teased as "coming soon" with another promotion of Raw going to Netflix on January 6, 2025 (which you can see here)
Fans are speculating that this is a sign that Penta El Zero Miedo will make his WWE debut, as his deal with All Elite Wrestling expired on December 5, 2024. He has been expected to join World Wrestling Entertainment for quite some time, along with his brother, Rey Fenix, who still has to wait out the rest of his contract and has been speaking up against his "inhumane treatment" in AEW as of late.
Penta had filed a trademark for "Cero Miedo" recently, which would translate well with this Ø mark and would indicate he would keep his "zero fear" tagline.
