What’s next for Cody Rhodes?
John Cena shocked the world at Elimination Chamber by aligning himself with The Rock after Cody rejected becoming his champion. Rock’s friendship with Cody was shattered when “The Final Boss” laid a beating he’ll never forget. The Undisputed Champion was left in Canada a beaten and bloody mess; But miraculously, Cody is able to make it to Smackdown tonight. That’s because The Rock and John Cena still need one thing from the third generation star - The Undisputed Championship.
For now, The Rock and John Cena are off living the life of luxury, but Cody returns to respond to the heinous actions of John Cena and The Rock. What will the Undisputed Champion say?
John Cena turning heel wasn’t the only big thing that happened at Elimination Chamber. Former WWE Champion Randy Orton made his shocking return after Kevin Owens put him on the shelf for months. Orton was out for blood on Saturday and came seconds away from putting Owens on the sidelines until Security stopped him.
The former Universal Champion has been running roughshod on the blue brand causing chaos and havoc all for his pursuit to be the Undisputed Champion. But in his path of destruction, Owens re-awakened a beast, and Randy Orton won’t stop until Owens is carried out on a stretcher.
Jade Cargill is back. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion marched down to the ring and beat the lucky charms out of Naomi. On the surface, it seems to answer the question: Who took out Jade Cargill? However, is there a deep layer beyond what we witnessed at Elimination Chamber?
The road to WrestleMania continues as Tiffany Stratton can now focus on Charlotte Flair, who’s been toying with the WWE Women’s Champion over the last several weeks. With Nia Jax and Candace LeRae behind her, what will be the next chapter between Tiffany and Charlotte? Or is the rivalry between Stratton and Nia far from over?
Also, LA Knight officially qualified for another match against Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States title? Will he finally get his much deserved title match? Or will Nakamura come up with another excuse to dodge the former champ?
