Even though WWE WrestleMania 41 is set to have an extremely long three hour pre-show on both nights, the company still feels the need to limit the amount of matches on the actual card itself, with very few spots available—especially now that another match has been made official for the show with Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre added to the lineup.
Announced ahead of tonight's SmackDown, wherein Priest and McIntyre will have a face-to-face (which will undoubtedly lead to some sort of physical confrontation), the match currently doesn't have any stipulation or gimmick attached to it, though that could always change, especially if something goes down tonight that echoes their brawl backstage that left The Scottish Psychopath with some glass debris in his eye.
Undoubtedly, McIntyre will have an "eye for an eye" approach to his fight with Priest, now that he's sporting an eye patch, but let's hope WWE doesn't try to do a repeat of Seth Rollins vs. Rey Mysterio!
Later tonight on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, at least one more match will be confirmed for WrestleMania 41, as there will be a tag team gauntlet match to determine who will face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship on The Grandest Stage of Them All. More than likely, we'll see a replacement opponent named for Randy Orton as well, so be sure to stay tuned to TheRingReport not only for those news updates, but for live coverage of SmackDown as well!
