Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson haven’t been shy about expressing their feelings recently.
The former WWE Tag Team Champions were part of the releases back in February and it wasn’t surprising to anyone, especially Gallows and Anderson themselves. The former WWE stars weren't concerned after being fired for the second time (or Gallows’ case, the third), but they have aired grievances over their last WWE stint.
That continued in Gallows’ latest interview with PWMania, where he feels that working with WWE got pretty weird during the brief return of Vince McMahon. He first described the first time he saw Vince.
“Yeah, when we came back in October of 2022, it felt great. It felt fresh. It felt new. Then, a few short months later, we’re in New York and we’re getting ready to leave the building and a limousine pulls up and we see a mustachioed man pop out and it was Vince McMahon coming back for the first time, we happened to see him in the parking garage.”
He then goes into how everything got weird. It was more of a sea of change as him and Anderson were spinning their wheels in the last year of their contract.
“I don’t know what goes on behind closed doors there, but from that point on, everything certainly got weird. Whether it was the Vince thing and then the eventual sale to TKO and however that timeline worked. But, you know, you could feel the winds of change. So the last year or so of that contract, we were there, you’re getting paid, you’re doing your thing but it was kind of like golden handcuffs for us because we love to be doing something, we love to be active, we love to be entertainers, and we number one love to be professional wrestlers. So, you’re just kind of spinning your wheels when you’re just kind of on the sidelines. It was what it was, no hard feelings.”
These days, Gallows and Anderson are traveling around the indie world and fighting in different promotions. The former WWE Tag Team Champions were just announced at a RevPro Event On September 13th. At this time, there’s no confirmation on who the duo will be facing at the event.
They also landed a reality TV series that premiered back on August 2nd. The show is called TALKNSHOP PRESENTS: Lariato Pro, which follows Gallows and Anderson both in and outside of the ring.
