Fatal 5-Way Universal Championship Number #1 Contender Match Set For WWE EXTREME RULES
Last night on Raw, Kurt Angle made it official: 5 men would face-off at next month's WWE Extreme Rules event to earn the right to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. More past the jump...
As Raw kicked-off last night, GM Kurt Angle made his way to the ring and explained that with Braun Strowman out of action for up to 6 months, a new number #1 contender for Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship would have to be determined. This brought out Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, Finn Bálor, Bray Wyatt, and Roman Reigns, and following a bit of a brawl, a Fatal 5-Way match was made for Extreme Rules next month.
This one is actually difficult to call. We know Reigns is most likely being lined up to face Lesnar as WrestleMania, and chances are Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor are about to begin a feud, which leaves Rollins and Joe. While The Destroyer VS. The Beast is something of a dream match, Rollins is the face and also has more history with Lesnar, so my money's on The Architect.
