WWE Night of Champions takes place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 28, 2025, and we know that not only will it feature John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk, but the finals of the King & Queen of the Ring tournament.

Tonight on the June 9th edition of Monday Night Raw, the first Fatal 4-Way matches in Round 1 of the men's and women's tournaments took place, settling the top left side of the bracket for the semi-finals.

First up was the women's Fatal 4-Way, wherein Roxanne Perez advanced by pinning Kairi Sane. Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley were the other two competitors in the match, and while Perez tried to work with Morgan so at least one of them could win, Morgan was mostly only interested in Perez helping her specifically win. Obviously, after Sane hit an Insane Elbow on Morgan and Perez rolled up Sane to win, Morgan is upset that Perez "stole" the pin, though Perez claims she just prevented Sane from pinning Morgan. Raquel Rodriguez also interfered to try to help Morgan win, largely keeping Ripley busy during this to explain why The Eradicator didn't come out on top.

Perez will face the winner of one of SmackDown's Fatal 4-Way matches between Jade Cargill, Michin, Piper Niven, and Nia Jax.

On the top right side of the bracket, SmackDown's other Fatal 4-Way will be contested between Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Chelsea Green, and Candice LeRae, while the bottom right—Raw's other Fatal 4-Way to come next week—will be between Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez, Stephanie Vaquer, and a returning Asuka. The Empress of Tomorrow has been out of action for over a year, last wrestling at WWE Backlash 2024 when she and Kairi Sane dropped the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship titles back to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

As far as the men's side of the updates, Sami Zayn scored a pinfall on Dirty Dominik Mysterio in their Fatal 4-Way that also featured Bron Breakker and Penta. Also noteworthy for the match was that Breakker was attacked by LA Knight, who sought to get some payback after Breakker and Big Bronson Reed interfered at Money in the Bank and are partially responsible for Knight not being able to grab the briefcase.

Zayn will face the winner of SmackDown's Fatal 4-Way between Randy Orton, LA Knight, Aleister Black and Carmelo Hayes.

On the right side of the bracket, the blue brand's other Round 1 four-way will be between Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Andrade, and Shinsuke Nakamura, while Raw's other Fatal 4-Way actually has a mystery competitor not yet announced to go up against Bronson Reed, Sheamus, and Rusev.

Who that mystery person will be has obviously yet to be revealed, but we can assume we'll find out next week, as this tournament needs to be on a speed run in order to finish up at WWE Night of Champions.
