2024 was packed with incredible moments that made us laugh, cry, and give the television the five-finger salute. What surprises will await us in 2025?

As of now, we head into the new year completely in the dark, but here are five wild moments that could realistically take place on WWE programming next year.

Bron Breakker Will Beat John Cena For The WWE World Heavyweight Title

I’m a firm believer that John Cena will beat Ric Flair’s record and become a 17-time world champion. The only other man on the roster who could do this is Randy Orton, which is certainly possible, but I feel that Cena would be the guy first. Cena will likely win it from Gunther and go on a run with the belt for a good period before dropping it to Breakker around Survivor Series.

Triple H is clearly high on him. And can you blame the COO? Breakker has stepped up to the plate big time. He feels ready to be in the main event mix. They’ll likely test the waters with his character by putting him into the world title picture during the summer before finally giving him a huge rub by being the man to put the final nail in the coffin of John Cena’s legacy run.

WWE Will Introduce The 6-Man Tag Team Titles

The Wyatt Sicks, The Final Testament, LWO,  Legado Del Fantasma, Judgment Day (even if Dominick breaks away from the group), American Made, and The Bloodline all have a three-man team. WWE doesn’t particularly NEED any more belts at this point, but I can see them adding the six-man tag team titles to their stacked roster. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is a case of wait and see, but it would at least give The Wyatt Sicks something meaningful to do.

Wade Barrett Will Make His In-Ring Return Against Drew McIntyre

WWE has been teasing here and there a match between Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre throughout 2024. The most notable moment was Drew calling out Wade and threatening him on RAW. Barrett has stated that he’s willing to come out of retirement for the right story.

Plus, the guy is still in shape. Wade Barrett vs. Drew McIntyre would be a great addition to the WrestleMania line-up. It would be genuinely shocking if that segment on RAW is never revisited. Then again, plans do change and it’s possible that Barrett or Triple H are no longer interested in revisiting that story.

AJ Lee Will Get Involved With One Of CM Punk’s Feuds

AJ Lee’s coming back to WWE. We don’t know when, but I can easily see her incorporated into one of Punk’s storylines. The former WWE Champion’s stories tend to be more personal than others. It wouldn’t be out of left field if AJ were injected into one of them.

Hell, Punk is currently feuding with Seth Rollins; his wife is Becky Lynch.

Could we get Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee?

A wild dream match, though unlikely since Lee hasn’t been mentioned in the context of the feud. And Becky is currently MIA. Nevertheless, this could be Lee’s slow introduction back into the WWE universe. The former Diva’s Champion is top tier on the mic, so relying on her promo skills to advance a CM Punk feud can add a deeper dimension to his character overall.

Jade Cargill Will Blame Bianca Belair For Her Attack

I’m all for a Bianca Belair heel turn. The WWE star was an excellent heel in NXT, but I don’t see her turning heel anytime soon. What will likely happen is that Jade will blame Bianca for the attack, but the former Women’s Champion won’t be the culprit.

The blame will come from Jade feeling that Ms. EST didn’t have her back when she needed it. Basically, Jade will use heel logic to distance herself from her tag team partner and she'll turn on her eventually. This feud will take place during the Summertime.

Jade is also at her best when she’s a heel. She oozed star power and charisma during her lengthy TBS title run in AEW. A heel turn will allow Jade to bring out her personality more, and finally show fans why she was such a big deal when she first arrived in WWE.

Jade and Bianca just need a compelling story. That’s the main reason that their tag title run has been so lackluster. Plus, WWE would be able to get more mileage out of Jade if she’s an arrogant powerhouse who feels she’s above the competition.
