Former WWE Diva's Champion Brie Bella Says That She Regrets Her 2018 Run

Brie Bella has some regrets.

Remember when the WWE Hall of Famer had a brief comeback in 2018? Apparently, Brie wasn't all that enthused about jumping back into the squared circle so soon after having a baby.

Brie’s final run is notable for all of the botches including the former WWE Diva’s Champion accidentally knocking out Liv Morgan during a six woman tag team match. During the recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie revealed that one of her biggest regrets was her 2018 return because the decision wasn’t about her looking to have one final run before riding off into the sunset. The decision was about pleasing others.

“I guess a huge regret was the way I felt like I needed to come back when after, I mean, I was what seven months postpartum, maybe at that time, maybe 10, and I think as we were filming both reality shows, they were really pushing me to be like, get back in the ring. Let’s do like a Brie comeback, but I did not feel ready and I kind of just let everyone plan everything for me.”

Brie went on and stated the pressures of WWE lead her to saying yes to a return, each though she knew that it just wasn’t the right time for her then.

“For so long, I did everything for everyone, especially when we were filming the reality show. I felt obligated. Almost like I owed everyone something, so if someone asks something of me, I just did it without thinking like, ‘Do I want to? Am I ready?’ I never thought about myself. So, I did so much for so many people, like a people pleaser mentality that I think I did a disservice to myself until I got into my 40s, you know what I mean?”

There seem to be a point where Brie was going to make her in-ring return recently, though there was never any confirmation that she was. Before Liv Morgan went down injured, she was scheduled to defend her WWE Tag Team titles against Nikki and what many assumed would be Brie Bella.

It sucks that Brie was forced to get back into the ring during a time she wasn’t ready. The WWE Hall of Famer appears well adjusted outside of the WWE circle so she doesn’t need to make a return, though if she did, she would do it on her terms to correct the mistakes she made in 2018.
