Gunther shocked the world when he beat Jey Uso.
The newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion silenced his critics once and for all by avenging his WrestleMania loss and making Jey Uso’s reign the shortest world title run in the modern era. Now Gunther sets his sights on the future as the two-time World Heavyweight Champion will speak about what’s next for him.
Speaking of Jey Uso, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion gets another opportunity at redemption as he’ll compete in a four way qualifier for the King of the Ring tournament. However, that’s easier said than done. Jey will be in a match against Sheamus, Rusev, and Bronson Reed; all heavy hitters who can squash Jey Uso like a bug. Will the underdog pull out another miracle and advance into the semi-finals? Or will Jey pull further away from the world title picture?
In the women’s Queen of the Ring qualifier, former WWE Women’s Champion Asuka makes her highly anticipated return against former NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, Ivy Nile, and Raquel Rodriguez. It’s a different landscape since “The Empress of Tomorrow” wrestled and there’s sure to be ring rust on Asuka’s part.
Can Asuka re-establish her dominance and advance into the semi-finals? Or will Stephanie, Ivy, or Raquel remind Asuka that she’s yesterday’s news?
Expect Bayley to send a message for the Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Liv Morga to explain her attack on Nikki Bella last week. Check out the advertised card for tonight’s show from Green Bay, Wisconsin at Resch Center. As always, the card is subject to change.
