WWE taped the February 18 edition of SmackDown this past Friday because the Superstars and crew will be in Saudi Arabia later this week preparing for Elimination Chamber. As a result, full spoilers for the show have now been revealed and it sounds like a solid offering despite being a pre-tape.
SmackDown will open with Universal Champion Roman Reigns facing off with WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg ahead of their match, but we're hearing that it's just trash talking and no physicality. Next, Ricochet defeated Sheamus and, as we've already told you, Sami Zyne pinned Shinsuke Nakamura to become the new Intercontinental Champion.
Iva defeated SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso, there was a promo segment with Drew McIntyre confronting Baron Corbin and Madcap Moss, and promos hyping Reigns' match with Goldberg at Elimination Chamber.
The shoe ended with a contract signing for Ronda Rousey and Naomi vs. SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville at the PPV in Saudi Arabia. The Baddest Woman on the Planet threw The Queen's title at her and proceeded to slam Flair's head into the table. Naomi and Rousey then cleared the ring and stood tall as SmackDown "went off the air."
