Since returning to WWE at the end of 2023, Randy Orton has delivered some of the best work of his career. Unfortunately, he's been sidelined with a storyline injury since November.
As you may recall, Kevin Owens took him out with a piledriver ahead of their planned Crown Jewel match; while Orton returning for revenge seems inevitable, some believe he'll eventually target Cody Rhodes and the American Nightmare's Undisputed WWE Championship.
There have been rumblings about Orton vs. Owens at WrestleMania and it's feasible The Viper will make his presence felt during KO's "Unsanctioned" Match with Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber tomorrow evening.
According to PWInsider.com, "Orton is expected back in the mix by next month." The report adds that "the current plans call for Orton to be back in time for WWE’s European tour prior to Wrestlemania 41."
It's also been several months since we last saw Jade Cargill on WWE programming, leaving fans to wonder what the plan is for the former AEW star. In November, a mystery attacker laid her out backstage in what we later learned may or may not have been a cover for a legitimate injury.
That storyline has gained traction again in recent weeks and, not too long ago, we heard that Cargill hasn't been forgotten and continues to train at the WWE Performance Center. The same report said WWE does view her as a "strong talent" who will be a big part of the company moving forward.
According to the insider @WrestleVotes, "Sources state Jade Cargill has been cleared for action - expect her return imminently. The payoff to 'who done it' is coming..."
Talking of returns, there's another big one on the cards it's worth sharing...
WWE once again has a McMahon in the fold and the writing has been on the wall for a while when it comes to Stephanie taking on a bigger role (not necessarily behind the scenes, but certainly in front of the cameras).
