John Cena is a bitter, bitter man.
The Undisputed WWE Champion is making it his mission to destroy professional wrestling for fans and he’s off to a pretty good start so far. However, John has to defend his belt against one of his well-known rivals this Saturday - Randy Orton.
Both men have been trading verbal jabs back and forth for the past several weeks. But Randy Orton isn't just promising to win the title; he’s promising to punt Cena’s head through the St. Louis Gateway Arch. With their match taking place in less than two days, how will John Cena respond to Orton threatening to put a violent end to his illustrious career?
At Backlash, Jacob Fatu is scheduled to defend his belt in a four way match against Damian Priest, LA Knight, and Drew McIntyre. Tonight, he’ll team with one of his opponents to take on Knight and Priest. McIntyre is not a fan of Fatu or anyone in the Bloodline, but Priest and Knight have a score to settle with the United States Champion. Fatu has been a dominant force since arriving in the company last year, could that end on Smackdown tonight?
Speaking of championships, a number one contender’s match has been made official for the WWE Women’s Championship between Nia Jax and Jade Cargill. Nia is still pissed over Stratton cashing in on her money in the bank contract on her, but Cargill has been on a roll since her return at Elimination Chamber. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is no stranger to fighting Nia as she single-handedly eliminated Jax in the 2024 Royal Rumble and get the better of her last week on Smackdown. Who will earn the right to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship?
