JD McDonagh Suffered Broken Ribs And A Punctured Lung Following Brutal Moment On RAW - VIDEO

During last night's episode of RAW, The Judgement Day's JD McDonagh teamed up with Dominik Mysterio to battle The War Raiders for the World Tag Team Championships.

It was a competitive bout, but when McDonagh hit a backflip from the second rope to ringside, it looked like his head collided with the announce table. The gnarly spot quickly went viral on social media and there were reports that, after the match, McDonagh immediately collapsed backstage.

In case you missed it, here's what happened:

Well, McDonagh himself has now taken to social media and, while he's "good," it sounds like the Irish wrestler will be left on the shelf for at least a couple of months after suffering broken ribs and a punctured lung.

"First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good," he started. "I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that. See ya in a bit."

McDonagh was reportedly taken straight to the hospital after returning backstage and the fact he was able to finish the match is incredible. It's a great shame that he'll miss the Royal Rumble, though there's a chance he'll be back in time to be involved in whatever The Judgement Day is up to heading into WrestleMania

WWE has been teasing issues within the group for a while now, with the prevailing theory being that Finn Balor and JD might break away from Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriquez, and Carlito. Those plans will have likely been put on hold for the time being.

Needless to say, we wish JD a speedy recovery over the next couple of months.
