Good and bad news for the WWE Monday Night Raw roster coming out of the January 5, 2026 episode, as Je'Von Evans has been traded to the red brand, while Stephanie Vaquer appears to have been possibly written off television. Let's explore what went down and what this all means.
Je'Von Evans Joins Monday Night Raw Roster:
During a commercial break segment, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce came out on stage to announce NXT Superstar Je'Von Evans has been traded to the Raw roster, officially joining the brand going forward.
Evans had been teased for several weeks as being scouted for this position, though nothing was made official until tonight. This goes along with how Trick Williams just joined the Friday Night SmackDown roster and how Jordynne Grace and Oba Femi have been teased to get a main roster call up as well some time soon.
Stephanie Vaquer Injured:
Stephanie Vaquer came out for an in-ring promo on tonight's episode, speaking about all of her success in WWE throughout 2025 where she held the NXT Women's North American Championship, the NXT Women's Championship, the Crown Jewel Championship, and her current reign as women's world champion. She was sporting a boot on her foot, though, having apparently suffered an ankle injury in her title defense against Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez. However, Vaquer said that wouldn't stop her from continuing to fight, indicating she would not be vacating the Women's World Championship.
Unfortunately, she was then attacked from behind by Rodriguez, who targeted Vaquer's injured foot not only in this segment, but in a follow-up backstage segment with another attack as well.
Though nothing has been specifically confirmed yet, the implication now coming out of this is that Vaquer will likely be forced to relinquish the title, most likely to be announced on next week's episode of Raw, which currently only has one thing announced for it in Gunther against AJ Styles.
If Vaquer does vacate the title, she will have been forced to do the exact same thing that the previous champion, Naomi, had to do which led to Vaquer winning the title in the first place.
Stay tuned to TheRingReport for further updates on this matter in case more news comes out about the nature of her injury and WWE's plans of addressing the title.
