The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship has changed hands. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bianca Belair and Naomi to win the titles on the February 24, 2025 episode of Monday Night Raw at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In the match, there was some heavy interference from Dominik Mysterio, stepping in at multiple times to cause distractions or flat out get physically involved to influence pinfalls. Eventually, the numbers game was too much for the champions to counteract, and Morgan scored the winning fall over Naomi.
Some interesting statistics about these teams and their positions as champions are that there are a lot of parallels to what we've seen happen before.
Naomi stepped in to replace Jade Cargill for this second tag team title reign that initially was another Belair and Cargill run. In the meantime, they had dropped the titles to The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) after 42 days. Coincidentally, Dawn was just released a few weeks ago, and this parallels something that happened with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Their first tag team title reign lasted 39 days until they were forced to vacate the titles because Morgan suffered a shoulder injury. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler won them in the meantime, and would drop them back to Morgan and Rodriguez, not too long before Rousey left the company.
Injuries seem to plague this division quite a bit, as not only did Morgan suffer her injury, but 16 days after winning the belts for a second time, Morgan and Rodriguez dropped them to Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville. Not long after that, Deville suffered a torn ACL, and Piper Niven stepped in to carry on the tag title reign, similar to Naomi replacing Cargill.
Rodriguez in general has not had great luck as a tag team champion, as her other two title reigns in NXT alongside Dakota Kai lasted only a combined 3 days. For having four runs as a tag team champion and less than 73 days to her name, it'll be amazing to see if WWE keeps the titles on Morgan and Rodriguez longer, but WrestleMania 41 is only 55 days away, so we could be looking at yet another reign that is less than 2 months in before Rodriguez loses a title again.
