Looks Like Shinsuke Nakamura May Be Challenging For The WWE United States Championship Very Soon
Shinsuke Nakamura is currently embroiled in a feud with Dolph Ziggler, but a new report indicates that he may be moving on to challenge Kevin Owens for his WWE United States Championship next. Check it out...
Shinsuke Nakamura still hasn't actually had a match since debuting on Smackdown Live a couple of nights after WrestleMania, but we'll finally get to see his first main roster bout when he takes on Dolph Ziggler at WWE Backlash on May 21.
The King of Strong Style (or do we have to start referring to him as "The Artist known As" now?) is expected to go over in that match, and it looks like that'll put him in line to challenge Kevin Owens for his United States Championship.
WWE is holding alive event at The Rabobank arena in Bakersfield, CA, on June 26, and some of the matches on the card have been posted online:
WWE Championship Match: WWE Champion Randy Orton vs vs Jinder Mahal w/ Singh Brothers
United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura vs United States Champion Kevin Owens
Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin
Smackdown Tag Team Triple Threat Championship Match: The New Day vs The Uso’s vs Breezango
SPOILER: yes, it looks like Randy Orton will actually retain the WWE Championship in his match with Jinder Mahal. Will wonders never cease.
Nak's Smackdown run has been met with a mixed response so far, and many are worried that the powers that be won't utilize his talents to their full potential. Hopefully this match with Ziggler followed by a feud with KO will firmly establish him as a force to be reckoned with on the blue brand.
