After weeks of speculation, world-renowned sports broadcaster Mauro Ranallo has made his departure from WWE official.

Ranallo, who suffers from bipolar disorder, failed to show for the March 7 broadcast of Smackdown Live, and has not been seen since. This led to rampant speculation that derogatory comments made by his broadcast colleague John Bradshaw Layfield - who has been accused of being a notorious bully by several other individuals in the past - was the reason. However, Ranallo refutes this is his statement to Newsweek:

WWE and I have mutually agreed to part ways. It has nothing to do with JBL."

Unfortunately, Ranallo declined to explain why he did decide to leave the company, but whatever the reason may be, his departure will be a massive blow to WWE's announce team.

What do you guys think? Do you buy Ranallo's statement, or is he just being diplomatic?
