Are Michin and The O.C. still a thing?
Two years ago, The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows) were fighting The Judgment Day but they needed an equalizer for Rhea Ripley. That’s where Michin comes in. The former Knockouts Champion made her surprising return by taking out Rhea Ripley.
Since then, the group has gone in all types of directions. AJ Styles is currently dealing with an injury, but before then, the former WWE Champion turned heel and distanced himself from Michin and The O.C.
Karl Anderson is also dealing with an injury. The former WWE Tag Team Champion detailed the situation on his Talk n’Shop podcast with Luke Gallows and confirmed that he was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff tendon and a partially torn labrum, which required surgery. He’s expected to be out from 6 to 9 months. Even before the injury, Anderson and Gallows barely shared any screen time with Michin.
Michin herself has been focusing on her singles career. The WWE star just competed in the U.S. Women’s title tournament and made it into the finals, but unfortunately she lost to Chelsea Green. If Gallows was there with her then the situation would’ve been different.
So with everyone focused on their own goals, did The O.C. silently break-up?
Michin gave an update on the group on Casual Conversation with The Classic and she says, “it’s complicated”.
“It feels like [laughs], it feels like a situationship, like a complicated situationship that, I don’t even know what’s happening because AJ is on the dark side, but I still have so much love for him. That’s my uncle Al right there. Luke and Karl, even though they’re with AJ on the dark side, I’m like, no, they…regardless of what they do, I will always support them, I will always love them.
Even Luke [Gallows] texting me after I hear Tiffany to enter in the finals for the US Championship, and it was just such a long, emotional message of him just saying nobody’s gonna take this moment away from you, you’ve made it, you did it. Just so motivating. Those are my brothers, and I love them dearly, and regardless on whatever happens, even if AJ won’t hug me back, I will still hug them, even if it’s not returned. I love them very much, and they’ll always hold a special spot in my heart," Michin said.
