Mike Bennett And Maria Kanellis Made Their Surprise Debut At WWE MONEY IN THE BANK Last Night

As expected, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis debuted last night during the Money in The Bank PPV, and their new gimmick is... well, let's just say it's divisive. Find out more about this after the jump...

Before Money in The Bank kicked-off, we reported that former ROH and Impact Wrestling duo Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis were spotted in St. Louis airport, and sure enough, the real-life couple took to the stage last night during the PPV.

The pair didn't get involved in any matches, but their new gimmick certainly raised a few eyebrows.

Bennett is now going by Mike Kanellis, and his wife revealed that she'd been gone from The WWE for seven years because she’s been searching for the perfect partner, and now the two of them are here to educate everyone on Smackdown Live "on the power of love." Then they proceeded to slow-dance (with Maria leading), before departing as their '80s pop-rock entrance music faded out.

These two will probably make this gimmick work, but the obnoxious, loved-up shtick does seem very similar to what The Miz and Maryse are currently plying over on Raw. At any rate, be sure to tune in to Smackdown Live tomorrow night to see what "Mikellis" has in store for us.
