NXT Superstar Luca Crusifino hasn't been seen in several months, but has now popped back up again as part of the WWE EVOLVE roster going forward.
Around this time last year, Tony D'Angelo had been betrayed by his second in command, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo. This fractured The D'Angelo Family, wherein Adriana Rizzo was torn between her loyalty over both of them and Crusifino was confusingly booked to be both an obstacle in the way of D'Angelo and someone who was supposed to be on his side.
The storyline was a mess and went nowhere, eventually just being tossed aside with Rizzo and Crusifino M.I.A. ever since, Stacks moving on to do other things (wherein he is now alongside his fiance, Arianna Grace, as part of the Birthright faction) and D'Angelo taking time off to return a few months ago, dropping the gimmick of The Don.
Now, Crusifino has returned, and has also dropped his gimmick in favor of a different, new character.
On tonight's edition of WWE EVOLVE, a vignette aired to promote Crusifino as a member of the roster, with him stating the following:
"EVOLVE, do you feel that? Do you feel that bass in your chest? That spark that's in the air? Well get ready, because Luca Crusifino is arriving. And when that beat drops, I'm tripping through the lights. I'm rolling with the rhythm and I'm cruising right to the peak here at WWE EVOLVE. And just because I'm vibing, just because I'm smiling, just because I move the way that I do, does not mean that I'm not dangerous. I've been through the silence. I found my inner self. And I figured it out—that when Luca Crusifino is vibing on the frequency of love, fluidity and fun, is when he is his most effective. On this mode, nothing can fracture my inner peace or kill my vibe. My opponents start seeing colors that they didn't even know existed. I live for the drop and I thrive off the energy of the big moments. I relish in the euphoria of the crowds, and when Crus begins to rise, all my opponents heads begin to spin. And I'm ready to make EVOLVE revolve around Luca Crusifino."
