The 2025 Royal Rumble event is fast-approaching (taking place this upcoming Saturday, February 1st) and time is running out for people to be announced as participants in the titular gauntlets.
Thankfully, WWE decided to rapid-fire announce a handful of competitors on tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, establishing a few more names for both the men's and women's matches.
First off, during the opening promo segment that kicked off tonight's episode, Logan Paul interrupted Gunther and Seth Rollins to talk about how he plans to win the Royal Rumble. Gunther, who had previously said he was rooting for Rollins to win so he could prove that he's the better wrestler of the two, changed his mind, as he now wants to embarrass Logan Paul at WrestleMania instead.
Later, in a backstage segment, Lyra Valkyria announced herself and was immediately interrupted by American Made, who proceeded to threaten her Royal Rumble aspirations as well as say Ivy Nile would be taking the Women's Intercontinental Championship away from Valkyria. While nothing was specifically mentioned during this segment, Chad Gable was later shown to be on the graphic advertising the Men's Royal Rumble match, so Gable, Nile, and Valkyria were added to the list.
Another woman was announced in another backstage segment when Iyo Sky bumped into Bayley and said to her "See you Saturday", right after Bayley had approached Rhea Ripley to tease a potential match between the two.
Last up, a vignette shone a spotlight on PENTA, who will be entering his first-ever Royal Rumble match.
This brings the lineup for this year's Royal Rumble premium live event to the following card:
- 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match featuring Bayley, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Ivy Nile, Iyo Sky, Liv Morgan, Lyra Valkyria, Naomi, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez and more TBA
- 30-Man Royal Rumble Match featuring Chad Gable, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, John Cena, LA Knight, Logan Paul, Penta, Rey Mysterio, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Shinsuke Nakamura and more TBA
