Natalya Wants To Bring Her Nattie Neidhart Character Into The WWE

Nattie has been killing it on the independent scene.

Back in June 2024, the former WWE Women’s Champion re-signed with WWE. It was an interesting situation as there seemed to be a point where Natalya may be on the indie market for the first time since 2008.

But despite being paid to re-sign with the company, Natalya’s appearances on television have been sparse. The 43-year-old has had a total of 14 matches in the company this year, and only four of those were RAW, Smackdown, or PLE matches. So Natalya opted to go outside of the WWE and Natalya started working with Bloodsport.

The former WWE Women’s Champion changed up her character and presented a different side that she’s yet to showcase in WWE. And Nattie’s been pretty darn good competing at Bloodsport and NWA. The WWE veteran seems really rejuvenated over her work on the indie scene and Nattie is hoping that she can bring her new character into the WWE.

“I really want to bring Nattie to WWE.” She said during the Cauliflower Alley Club TV, “I definitely want to bring her to WWE. I think Nattie has to be handled very carefully because the second we bring her to WWE and we don’t have a good game plan, I think we can lose the character, so we have to handle her very carefully. A big part of the inspiration for this character came from Mick Foley when he was Mick Foley in WWE and outside of WWE, he was Cactus Jack.

I think a lot about Mick Foley and the contrast between those two characters and the creativity where it’s like, he can morph back into both of them. He can do both of them, he can play both of them. I want to bring Nattie to WWE, we just have to make sure that the women of the division can handle Nattie because I’m not sure all of them can hang with Nattie.”

It’s not too late for Nattie to revitalize her career in WWE. Her character work outside of the company has been rather strong, so it would be great if she did bring it over for WWE audiences to see. At the moment, Nattie seems stuck in the veteran role and while wrestlers like her are an important piece of the puzzle, it would be great if Nattie was given one more shot at being on top of the division.
