New #1 Contender For The WWE World Heavyweight Championship At WRESTLEMANIA To Be Revealed Next Week

On last night's instalment of SmackDown Live, Randy Orton refused to face his "master" Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. Now, plans to find a new #1 contender have been revealed for next week's episode.

Going into Sunday's Elimination Chamber, Bray Wyatt was the odds-on favourite to walk out with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That ended up happening, setting up a match between him and Royal Rumble winner Randy Orton at WrestleMania. However, one thing it's fair to say none of us saw coming is Orton telling his fellow Wyatt Family member that he won't face him at the Showcase of the Immortals in Orlando.

Well, that's what happened on SmackDown Live this week, and in another unexpected twist, Daniel Bryan announced on Talking Smack that a Battle Royal will take place next Tuesday to crown a new #1 contender. That shakes things up in a huge way, and while it's easy to picture Orton still being involved, we could now be looking at a Triple Threat match for the title instead.

Things seem to be heating up between AJ Styles and Wyatt, while fans have been less than thrilled about the prospect of John Cena tagging with Nikki Bella to take on The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania, so he too could be involved. Luke Harper emerging victorious would certainly be pretty interesting, and if nothing else, the Road to WrestleMania just became a whole lot more interesting and unpredictable. What do you guys think?
