On January 6, RAW finds a new home on the world's biggest streaming service, Netflix. Overseas, pro wrestling fans will have access to that, SmackDown, NXT, and every PLE so, make no mistake about it, the move is a very big deal for WWE.
We expect that first show on the streamer to be a WrestleMania-sized show with some huge surprise returns which, in previous years, would likely have been saved for the Royal Rumble.
In the case of Becky Lynch, there's been some uncertainty surrounding her WWE future for several months; we last saw "The Man" at the end of May when she failed to regain the Women's World Championship from Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage.
Rumour has it Lynch has been a free agent since June but she was recently on hand for a WWE event at Netflix headquarters and now appears in a promo for the first episode on the platform.
Many fans have taken this as confirmation she'll appear on RAW and, honestly, it feels like a safe bet given her presence in this teaser. After all, there's no way WWE would hype up an unsigned talent for its biggest show of the year.
"I don’t know the answer to these questions, I genuinely don’t," Lynch previously said of her future beyond wrestling. "I’m being so vague, and I don’t mean to be in any way cagey, but I feel like I have a great mind for wrestling and a great love for it. And so, it’s always going to be there in my heart and in my head. It’s part of my family."
"It’s the reason I have my family, so it’s so important to me. I just don’t know what that looks like in the future."
"I genuinely don’t have any answers for you because I don’t know. Life continues to surprise me in wonderful ways recently. You can make all of these plans, and sometimes they don’t go the way that that that you intended," she added. "But in the long run, something works out and something becomes better than you would’ve expected. And I feel like that’s been my whole run."
We'll have to wait and see what happens but there have been rumblings in recent weeks that, when Lynch does return to WWE, it will be with a completely new outlook and persona.
