Night of Champions proved to be a phenomenal PLE, though as we've already explained, it wasn't a good start to the show for AJ Styles. In a fantastic back-and-forth bout, Seth Rollins ultimately emerged the victor in their match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch was up next, and the WWE Hall of Famer ended up walking away with the win thanks to interference from NXT call-up Zoey Stark. She hit her finisher on The Man, allowing Stratus to hit Stratusfaction.
As expected, Gunther retained his Intercontinental Championship after facing Mustafa Ali, though Bianca Belair's lengthy RAW Women's Championship reign ended when Asuka used both her patented mist and a kick to the head for the 1-2-3.
Rhea Ripley later put the SmackDown Women's Championship on the line against Natalya in what proved to be a brief squash match for the dominant Judgement Day member.
As for Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes, the American Nightmare went into their clash with a broken arm and gave it his all. Despite some close calls, it became clear he couldn't overcome The Beast, though he only lost when he passed out after being trapped in the Kimura Lock. Rhodes never tapped out.
Finally, it was time for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa's turn to challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.
The Usos eventually interfered on behalf of their Tribal Chief, but when they inadvertently hit their younger brother, Reigns wasn't happy. With that, Jimmy finally had enough and hit the Head of the Table with not one, but two superkicks. A shocked Jey watched on, and Sikoa was then taken out by Owens and Zayn to allow them to retain their titles.
