Social media has been going wild over the past 24 hours after rumours started swirling that WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is dating Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean. Why is everyone making such a big deal out of it?
Well, Bella is 42, and DeJean is 22, meaning there's a 20-year age gap between the two athletes (we don't see what the big deal is). The rumours appear to stem from the WWE Superstar's recent trip to Philadelphia, where she was photographed in front of DeJean's locker.
They've also been spotted together dancing, something that's only served to add further fuel to the fire.
Bella, who was once engaged to retired WWE Superstar John Cena, was previously married to Artem Chigvintsev, with whom she has a 5-year-old son.
The former Women's Champion is currently feuding with Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and The Judgement Day's Raquel Rodriguez, after recently turning heel. Her dating life continues to draw a lot of interest, and it's something she addressed during a recent edition of her podcast with twin sister, Brie Bella.
"It’s crazy because I actually haven’t been touched or done anything in so long and he’s like 'Oh,' and I go, 'Yeah, so it’s funny when people call me a whore when I actually haven’t had intimacy in a really long time,'" Bella said. "Even think of kissing."
"I haven’t even kissed someone in so long. It’s kind of crazy," she added. "I was thinking about this last night, like 'Do I still know how to kiss?' You know when it’s been so long?"
In 2022, Bella opened up about the end of her relationship with Cena. "You almost wish it was bad, because it’s so much easier to walk away," she shared. "I think a lot of women get into this situation when it’s like, 'I love this person, but I don’t know if it’s right for my life.' Sometimes we meet amazing people, but we’re just meant to live a different life."
"No one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard," Bella continued. "Even though it’s painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right."
