Nikki Bella thanks the Bella Army.
The former WWE Diva’s Champion had her first match on pay-per-view (or PLE) since 2018 and failed to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship from Becky Lynch. Now that bout itself has received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, but Nikki got to wrestle in front of a hot Paris crowd and she wanted to thank them for all the love and support, even if they booed her throughout the match.
“There’s nothing like my Bella Army!! Your love and support gets me through it all!! Fell short tonight but the beauty in that is it’s only the beginning,” she wrote. “Felt so great being out there like that again! Love you all so much! And Paris cheers or boos you all are such an amazing crowd!! Thank you!!”
What’s next for Nikki Bella? At the moment, no one knows. The finish to her match was kind of screwy at Clash in Paris, but it does seem that Lynch has moved on from Nikki. Not only that, but the WWE Hall of Famer only made a single appearance in a segment that had nothing to do with Lynch.
Nikki is currently under a legend’s deal, though it’s unknown how long her deal lasts. After she made her surprise return at the Royal Rumble, Nikki did state that she wanted to get into the ring with two particular WWE stars (Transcript courtesy of Fightful).
“If I immediately look at something, just what Chelsea Green has been bringing to social media about the Divas, stuff she has said on interviews, I immediately get turned on by that. ‘Huh, she has been talking about the Divas lately.’ Something like that would be really fun. Chelsea, of course. A dream match would be against Rhea. I would love to do that with Brie [Bella]. When I think of my Ronda [Rousey] run for Evolution and those feels, something like that would be so fun to bring in, especially with Brie and the Bella Army.
I felt like in my run against Ronda, it wasn’t just about Ronda and I. It was also about Brie at my side and the Bellalution and the Bella Army being behind us. That would be something really fun to bring to Rhea because she has become the face of the women’s division and has gone through so many women.
Nikki already had her match against Chelsea. Could she get a chance at Rhea Ripley? Nothing has been teased so far, but anything is surely possible.
