Though Zelina Vega's WWE return has yet to be verified, some reliable sources have indicated that the recently released wrestler/manager is currently negotiating with the company, and some possible details on what's being planned for her (re)debut have now emerged.
While some of this feels more like speculation, Fightful Select is reporting that there's talk about pairing Vega with her real-life husband Aleister Black, who made his return to SmackDown last night. How she'd fit in with his revamped "Dark Father" shtick is unclear, but Zelina might well be getting a new gimmick of her own.
Vega is a big cosplay fan and gamer, so there might be plans to incorporate some of those elements into her new character. If she is to be teamed-up with Black, though, they need to be careful that she doesn't come across as an Alexa Bliss clone, as she's currently doing the creepy, supernatural thing on Raw. Then again, with Carmella, Eva Marie and NXT's Franky Monet all pretty much doing the same "it girl" thing at the same time, we're not sure the powers that be are too concerned about being seen as unoriginal or repetitive.
At any rate, Vega's return hasn't even been made official yet, so be sure to keep an eye on The Ring Report for updates.
