WWE recently announced that former AEW star Ray Fenix will make his in-ring debut on this Friday's episode of SmackDown. He was thought to be trapped in the rival company due to complicated contractual issues, leaving him unable to join his brother, Penta, in the company.

While there had been rumblings about Penta and Fenix being paired up heading into WrestleMania, the fact that they're on separate brands is a pretty strong indication that WWE currently has plans for them as singles stars.

Thanks to the insider @WrestleVotes, we may now know who Fenix will face on the blue brand later this week.

"Don’t know for sure but I can go back to the SmackDown three weeks ago, the one from Italy. Written in the show before the Liv Morgan vs. Jade Cargill match, there was to be a backstage segment with Nick Aldis telling Andrade that there are new talent coming to SmackDown, and he would want him to work with them first. That segment got cut. It was not supposed to be on last week’s show, so I don’t know where it stands. However, that would indicate to me that at least they had plans, at the minimum, for Andrade vs. Rey Fenix. We’ll see if that happens."

Andrade hasn't been pushed as much more than a midcard talent since returning to WWE. However, a match with Fenix would allow him to showcase what he can do inside the ring.

The account has also offered an update on Nia Jax's in-ring status. We haven't seen her on television since Elimination Chamber at the beginning of March. At the PLE, she teamed with Candice LeRae in a losing effort against WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

Heading into the Show of Shows, it appears she's dealing with an injury.

"Nia Jax has been...I want to phrase this properly. Not cleared. That’s the best way I can put it. She was due to be cleared I believe two weeks ago. Don’t know if that’s happened. Obviously, she hasn’t been on TV. Don’t know if it was due to an injury or what not. I do know internally that she’s  not been cleared for action, which is why she hasn’t been on TV."

"I don’t know what caused her to be on the inactive list. Don’t want to speculate. Hate to do that so I just know she’s been inactive with the anticaption of coming back I believe it was back on March 22nd. I don’t know why she’s not been cleared."

As always, keep checking back here for updates as we have them.
