Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are the top tag team in wrestling! At least according to PWI.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Top Tag Team 100 list of 2024 was released and the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champions edged out Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom), The Young Bucks, and last year’s number one pick, FTR, for the top spot.

Belair and Cargill have been a dominant team since winning the belts at Backlash. They stumbled when they lost to the Unholy Union in a triple threat match at Clash at the Castle, but they easily reclimbed the mountain when they regained them at Crown Jewel.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are indeed good performers, but this is a controversial pick as their run as Tag Team Champions has lacked the spice that some of the other teams on the list have. That’s mainly due to the lack of credible challengers or compelling stories that Triple H has yet to give the division as a whole.

It does seem that the duo may have to vacate the belts due to Jade’s reported injury, though with the confusing stories about whether Jade is really injured or not, the future of the tag team champions is still a bit murky.

Nevertheless, this was a good year for tag team wrestling and it’s hard to condense a list of this nature without striking up a controversial pick or two. While it’s crazy that teams like DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommasso Ciampa) or House of Black aren't in the top ten, PWI base their lists on kayfabe, so win/loss record and importance of the division throughout the year is a crucial piece of their voting process. Given Jade and Bianca’s dominance in the division, it’s not hard to see why they got the top spot.

Still, Bianca and Jade worked hard this year, so congrats to the tag team champions for topping PWI’s 100 list! Below is the top ten teams on the PWI list:

Top Ten:

1. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill
2. Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom)
3. Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI)
4. Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson)
5. TMDK (Haste & Nicholls)
6. ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin)
7. Saito Brothers (Jun Saito & Ren Saito)
8. Bloodline (Tonga Loa & Tama Tonga)
9. Crazy Star (Suzy Suzuki & Mei Seira)
10. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler)
