Last night's RAW opened with a confrontation between Randy Orton and Gunther before their match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin

After a tense exchange, Ludwig Kaiser hit the ring to attack Orton, though The Viper managed to fend the heels off before his main event match with the Imperium member. In that, Orton picked up the win with an RKO and the show went off the air with him gaining an upper hand over Gunther during a post-match brawl.

There were other big developments ahead of the PLE, including Drew McIntyre agreeing to face CM Punk in a strap match.

As for The Judgement Day, Damian Priest was meant to face Dominik Mysterio but ended up being attacked by the heel group. Rhea Ripley hit the ring to help, but the Terror Twins were outnumbered and ended up being laid out by Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Carlito, Mysterio, and Liv Morgan.

It wasn't just the PLE that WWE started building to as next week's RAW will see the start of a tournament to decide Bron Breakker's next challenger for the Intercontinental Championship.

Chad Gable, meanwhile, is set to go one-on-one with Uncle Howdy after the Wyatt Sicks laid out American Made, with Nikki Cross taking down their latest member, Ivy Nile.

We have only one RAW left before Bash in Berlin and the event is shaping up to be another banger.
