On the February 2, 2026 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns officially revealed which champion he will challenge at WrestleMania 42. Liv Morgan, on the other hand, didn't quite make her decision just yet.
Liv Morgan Hits the Pause Button...Maybe
After winning the 2026 Women's Royal Rumble, Morgan has the opportunity to choose either the SmackDown's WWE Women's Championship or Raw's Women's World Championship as the belt she'll contend for at WrestleMania. After being introduced to the ring by Dominik Mysterio, coming out wearing a shirt that said "hot girls love Dominik Mysterio", Morgan said that she would wait to make that decision and will be on this upcoming Friday Night SmackDown (February 6th) to scope out her other options.
Morgan's Judgment Day teammate Raquel Rodriguez failed to win the Women's World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer in their Philly Street Fight, wherein Morgan failed in trying to help her friend (who she eliminated in the Royal Rumble) win. After the match, Morgan laid out Vaquer with an Oblivion and posed with the title, teasing that she could be going for that, but not making anything official.
Roman Reigns vs. ???
Later in the show, in the main event segment, The Tribal Chief cut a promo about how he has a history with Philadelphia in regards to championships and Royal Rumbles and WrestleMania, so it's fitting he's there tonight to make this type of announcement.
He was interrupted by CM Punk, who addressed another challenge from Finn Balor before directing the conversation to how if Reigns picks Drew McIntyre and the Undisputed WWE Championship, he'll be taking the easy way out, because he knows he can't beat The Best in the World. Reigns responded that he would be picking Punk for a lot of different reasons, putting over Netflix's importance and star power before saying he would make Punk "acknowledge him" because he has always hated him.
WWE has yet to confirm the exact night or stipulation for the match, if there ends up being one, but the challenge immediately solidifies one of the marquee title bouts on the WrestleMania 42 card.
It is also unclear if Morgan will make an announcement regarding her choice on SmackDown, or if she'll simply be there and will hold off even longer. However, qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber are set to begin on next week's Raw, so it's possible we'll know who Morgan chooses by then, as well as if Punk or McIntyre are defending their titles in the Elimination Chamber or those bouts will be to determine The Scottish Warrior's opponent.
