More matches have been announced for the upcoming two night WWE SummerSlam 2025 premium live event, set to go down at MetLife Stadium on August 2nd and August 3rd.
On tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, the opening promo segment featured Naomi gloating about cashing in her Money in the Bank contract to steal the Women's World Championship in the main event of Evolution. Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley both came out, fuming over what transpired. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce then informed everyone that they'll all fight for the title in a Triple Threat match at SummerSlam.
In a 2-out-of-3 falls #1 contender's match, Lyra Valkyria defeated Bayley to earn a shot at Becky Lynch for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, seeking to regain the title that she lost to The Man at Money in the Bank.
Dominik Mysterio was informed backstage by Adam Pearce that next week, he will have a reevaluation from the medical team. While it isn't officially on the books yet, Pearce already told Dirty Dom that the moment he's cleared to compete, Pearce is going to make the match for the Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles for SummerSlam, who was seen praying to God that that happens.
CM Punk defeated Bron Breakker in a gauntlet match in the main event after Breakker had already gone through Penta, LA Knight, and Jey Uso. In doing so, The Second City Savior has earned a match against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.
In the fray for that match, Bronson Reed had gotten involved to help Breakker beat Jey Uso, who then came out to help Punk offset the interference and fight off Reed. Eventually, Roman Reigns also came out, taking the fight to Breakker and Reed. The Original Tribal Chief helped up his cousin, Jey, but didn't offer the same respect to Punk, even though all three of them stood beside each other in solidarity to end the show. No match has been announced for those other four outside of Punk, but it is now implied that we'll see Reigns and Uso against Breakker and Reed in a tag team bout.
