In a move that's been welcomed by pro wrestling fans, WWE has introduced secondary titles for the women on both RAW and SmackDown. Tournaments are currently ongoing to crown both the Women's Intercontinental Champion and Women's United States Champion.

Bayley, B-Fab, Candice LeRae, Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, Blair Davenport, Michin, Piper Niven, Lash Legend, Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, and Elektra Lopez have all attempted to win the latter title, with the semi-finals set for Friday's SmackDown.

Those will see Bayley battle Green, while Michin is set to take on Tiffany Stratton. The finals will then take place during Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC and Peacock this weekend.

According to Dr. Chris Featherstone of SportsKeeda, the current plan is for Green to beat Bayley and whoever wins out of Michin and Stratton.

Fans have spent a long time waiting to see Green receive a decent push and get championship gold, so her becoming the first Women's United States Champion will go a long way in making up for how she's been booked up until now.

"Sometimes I think that we're all so caught up in winning," Green previously said of her losing streak as a heel. "And I'm just not. I've been doing this 10 years. It's not about winning. What's it about? It's about making people feel a certain way. And when I became the hot mess in Impact that's when I realised, that's when the light bulb like friggin flashed in my face, like oh wow, people don't care."

"People don't care that I was cool and winning. They don't care that I won the championship. They care that I turn crazy, they care that I feel like their crazy best friend," she continued. "I feel like their crazy ex-girlfriend John Mayer sat in front of me at All In and said, 'Oh my God, you remind me of a lot of people I dated like that's the feeling I want you to feel with a character.'"

"I don't need you to go home and be like, 'Wow, she's a real winner,'" Green added before revealing how Kelly Kelly has and continues to serve as her inspiration. "I have tweeted it about 30,000 times. She has no choice in the matter. She has to enjoy me. Because I love her so much. I tweet her all the time, my gear was inspired by her, all sorts of things."

Are you excited to see Green potentially get her hands on championship gold?
