Seth Rollins Injury Update Suggests The Visionary Will Miss WRESTLEMANIA 42 After Bron Breakker Attack

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury at Crown Jewel last weekend, and a new report suggests there's a chance that The Visionary misses next year's WrestleMania in Las Vegas...

Monday's episode of RAW ended with Seth Rollins laying out the #1 contender for his World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk, only for Bron Breakker to shock the world by hitting The Vision's leader with a devastating spear.

He proceeded to give Bronson Reed the nod, leading to the formidable Superstar hitting Rollins with a 747 Splash. A terrified Paul Heyman watched on, but when Breakker went over and pulled him up, words were exchanged, and as Bron grabbed the title, the WWE Hall of Famer raised his and Reed's arms as they stood tall above the fallen Rollins.

All signs point to Breakker going after Rollins' championship, with WWE pulling the trigger on the former NXT Champion as a main event singles star in the company (which will be helped by having Heyman by his side).

We've since learned that Rollins suffered a legitimate shoulder injury during his Crown Jewel match with Cody Rhodes, and it may be even worse than first expected.

"Well, it looks like he’s going to need surgery on the shoulder, and that’s pretty much it," Dave Meltzer recently explained. "The story that I got was that he was going to have surgery as soon as possible...he’s going to be out for a long time, probably past Mania."

"As far as, you know, what they’re going to do about the world title, what they’re going to do about Saturday Night’s Main Event...they've got to get the Saturday Night’s Main Event thing going," he continued. "They could put Bron Breakker in."

"They could make it a multiple-person match, even if they just did a multiple-person match, they could do a tournament, you know, and end on November 1," Meltzer mused. "Or maybe, Punk gets the winner of a tournament. Since Punk earned his title shot, there’s a million ways to do it."

If Rollins does miss WrestleMania, then it will completely derail WWE's plans to have him face Roman Reigns at next year's Show of Shows in Las Vegas.

WWE faked an injury for The Visionary earlier this year when the company faked a knee injury during a match with LA Knight. That was all to set up his surprise return at SummerSlam, where he cashed in on Punk to become World Heavyweight Champion.

This time, it doesn't appear to be a work, and an announcement about his status could be made as soon as tomorrow's SmackDown or, more likely, Monday's episode of RAW

Stay tuned for updates.
