Back in late December, the Olympic Gold Medalist put up an Instagram post that strongly hinted that he would be
retiring from in-ring competition very soon.
In recent weeks, speculation has run rampant over Kurt Angle’s potential last match at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania 35, and according to the Twitter account known as Slice Wrestling, WWE management is reportedly discussing the former WWE champion’s retirement match.
It's not clear whether those plans will culminate at WrestleMania 35, as some of the names currently floating around for Kurt’s final match already have plans for the big show. The names in discussion are: John Cena, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, and Rey Mysterio.
As we know, Brock Lesnar is scheduled to face Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35 so either it isn’t happening there or Lesnar is less of a possibility. As for The Undertaker, his position in the company has been somewhat uncertain as of late although he is still under contract.
Triple H and Rey Mysterio don't currently have 'Mania opponents, although The Game is rumored to be facing Batista.
John Cena is a wildcard, too. Originally, he was penned to face Lars Sullivan at 35, but those plans seem to have changed due to the uncertainty of Sullivan's future with the company. Cena is reportedly penciled down for a match at the show, but his opponent has yet to be decided.
