SMACKDOWN LIVE Producer BG "Road Dogg" James On Who He'd Like To See Get Called Up From NXT Next
Former New Age Outlaw and current Smackdown Live producer/creative director Road Dogg was a guest on his pal X-Pac's show, and he revealed which NXT stars he'd most like to see called up to the blue brand...
The Road Dogg Jesse James, AKA BG James, was a guest on his former Degeneration X stablemate Sean Waltman's X-Pac 12360 radio show recently, and was asked which NXT Superstars he would most like to work with in his role as creative director on Smackdown Live.
James name-dropped one particular female wrestler who is almost certainly going to be called up to the main roster very soon, but his other suggestions may provide an indication of who else the Smackdown brass have their eyes on from the yellow brand:
"I would love to have Asuka. I think she is a huge star down at NXT and I think she can be an even huger star at the next level. So I’d love to have her. I love Bobby Roode as a human being known him for years in TNA and nowhere (WWE) too you know it’s weird to say but AJ Styles is just getting better and better so I’m really really glad to have gotten him and to have kept him…
I like those Authors of Pain they’re a big young group of guys really willing to learn and willing to perform and they’re just getting better and better they’re instincts are good they’re timing is good for a couple of big dudes. It seems like everyone down there (NXT) is doing really well. You know I was really glad to get Tye Dillinger he’s a great guy."
Again, it's really only a matter of time before Asuka shows up on Raw or Smackdown, but what about those other pics? Bobby Roode is expected to hold onto his title for a while longer before eventually losing it to Drew McIntyre (that's just a rumor for now, though), and The Authors of Pain are also in the middle of a tag team championship reign.
However, don't be surprised of Akam and Rezar make their devastating presence felt on the main roster sooner rather than later.
