[SPOILER] Expected To Return In Time For SUMMERSLAM - But What Of Roman Reigns Amid Contract Dispute Rumors?

WWE has Night of Champions and Evolution 2 on the horizon, but SummerSlam will be the company's biggest event of the summer by far. For the first time, the show takes place over two nights, and the expectation is that it will boast a WrestleMania-level card.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE hopes that Bianca Belair will be ready for in-ring action in time for the PLE. She's been sidelined since WrestleMania after suffering an injury while facing IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.

She broke several fingers, leading to a major change in creative plans. That's also affected Jade Cargill, and recent Money in the Bank ladder match winner, Naomi. They're expected to clash at Night of Champions or Evolution 2, presumably to end the rivalry.

Shortly before WrestleMania took place, Belair said this about her potential future opponents. "Stephanie Vaquer, of course. Giulia. I think Sol Ruca is amazing. Lash [Legend] and Jakara [Jackson], I had a few run-ins with them in the tag division. Lash has the power and the size, Jakara has all the tools she needs. I’m excited to see some of these NXT call-ups."

Since her absence started, Vaquer has joined RAW, and Giulia is now part of the SmackDown roster.

You may have also seen reports that WWE owner TKO is looking to restructure Roman Reigns' current WWE deal. He's one of the company's highest earners, and the insinuation was that he'd have to take a pay cut.

Former WWE announcer Jonathan Coahman shared the "news" that's now been debunked by Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter

"As far as income goes, there are seven WWE performers earning well over $5 million per year and two others who may also hit that figure this year," he explained. "Aside from The Rock, the highest-paid is Reigns. Whatever stories that went around from Jonathan Coachman that TKO asked Reigns to take a pay cut or restructure his deal are false."

There's still no word on what WWE has planned for the OTC, though he is expected to return in time for SummerSlam. He'll presumably face Seth Rollins after being taken out by his new heel faction during the RAW after WrestleMania

Stay tuned for updates on SummerSlam as we have them.
