Triple H vs. Seth Rollins was supposed to take place at WrestleMania 32, but the latter's injury before Survivor Series derailed those plans. Things were looking good for this year, but Rollins was reinjured during a clash with Samoa Joe and his status for the Showcase of the Immortals has been left up in the air ever since.
Well, following a doctor claiming that Rollins would not be cleared to compete at WrestleMania, Triple H decided to challenge The Architect to a non-sanctioned match. Only a handful of those have taken place over the years, with the most notable also involving The Game. That was back at SummerSlam in 2002 when he went to war with his former friend Shawn Michaels.
A non-sanctioned match works in this storyline allows for interference and may help take some of the strain off Rollins' leg than a straightforward wrestling match would have. It won't be 100% official until he agrees to the bout on next week's RAW, but this is one more match we can finally add to the event's stacked card.
