WWE has moved away from its traditional yearly draft over the past few years, instead opting to just trade people between rosters on a random basis. This has been happening quite a bit as of late following WrestleMania 42, with several WWE Superstars being called up from NXT or moved between the Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown brands.
The latest two to make a move are Los Garza, as Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo spoke to Raw General Manager Adam Pearce on tonight's episode of WWE Raw about how they were moving over to the red brand in search of more opportunities.
Later in the show, Oba Femi went out to the ring for the Oba Femi Open Challenge, only to not have anyone answer the challenge. Instead, Pearce came out to inform Femi that nobody was willing to face him this week, so the challenge was cancelled. Not willing to take that for an answer, Femi went to the back and stumbled across Angel and Berto, deciding to attack them and drag them to the ring for an impromptu handicap match.
Having beaten The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) before in a handcap match months back, Los Garza was an easy duo for The Ruler to take out, with Femi scoring the victory by taking out Carrillo with a Fall from Grace powerbomb.
Next week, the Oba Femi Open Challenge has already been advertised to be continuing, bringing about curiosity over who will be willing to step up to The Ruler, if anyone.
Also scheduled for next week's episode of Raw will be a WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match with Brie Bella and Paige defending their titles against The Judgment Day's Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.
On tonight's episode, the champions had an in-ring segment with The Judgment Day and found themselves beaten down by Perez, Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan, which has become a trend, as Bella and Paige were also wrecked on last week's SmackDown by the former champions, The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend), who are also trying to win back the titles, along with Fatal Influence vying for a shot at the titles, too.
Next week's episode of Monday Night Raw takes place May 18, 2026 at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Be sure to stay tuned to TheRingReport for live coverage of those matches and all other highlights from the show!
