Fans of "The Ravishing One" had wondered if this would ever happen, and it's now been announced that the late Rick Rude will finally be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Rude was one of the company's most hated heels back in the day, as he frequently berated the men in the audience for being "fat, out of shape sweathogs", while attempting to seduce the ladies with his sleazy antics. Though Rude never held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he did beat The Ultimate Warrior for the Intercontinental Title, and engaged in memorable feuds with the likes of Jake "The Snake" Roberts and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

One of wrestling's greatest villains will be inducted into the HOF by one of his greatest rivals, 2009 inductee Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat.

Rick Rude tragically passed away at the age of 40 in 1999.
