Do you wonder why Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed were nowhere near the WWE World Heavyweight Championship contenders match? Wrestlevotes has the answer to that.
Jey Uso vs. CM Punk is the scheduled match for Saturday Night’s Main Event. Given Seth’s unexpected injury, it certainly wasn’t the plan going in, but there’s a likelihood that the match wasn’t the plan going into RAW before Jey won the battle royal.
That’s because Bron Breakker and Bron Bronson Reed were originally penciled in for that same battle royal, according to Wrestlevotes. Now the Twitter account doesn’t state whether Reed or Breakker were intended to win the match, but the report does make it clear that officials ultimately pulled the Vision members from the match due to concern of fans cheering Reed and Breakker.
Despite being a heel, Breaker has been gaining steam because WWE has done an excellent job of making him stand out as a badass. So has Reed. So instead of placing them in the match, WWE opted to remove them entirely. The company does plan to push Breakker and Reed into the upper card scene though.
At the moment, it’s not clear what the future lies for the Vision faction. Though they will be a prominent act, it’s unknown if WWE intends to slide them into the world title picture following Saturday Night’s Main Event or if they plan doing a WarGames match with The Vision involved.
It’s a shame that WWE decided against capitalizing on the shocking Bron Breakker turn that could’ve been beneficial to him and the RAW main event scene. Breakker and Bronson are a breath of fresh air that Monday Night RAW needed, and though Jey and CM Punk can surely make compelling champions if booked correctly, fans were genuinely excited to see new matches involving young talent.
Saturday’s Night Main Event is going to be really interesting. Jey Uso vs. CM Punk can go either way, though there’s fan speculation that Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker may end up causing a disqualification on Saturday. Again, that’s just pure speculation as no major outlet has confirmed this news, but it would certainly help start the build to Survivor Series and keep The Vision in the world title loop.
