When Bray Wyatt returned to WWE last year, his presence on the show immediately resulted in one of the company's most compelling storylines.
From hints that we'd finally meet a new Wyatt Family to the surprise appearance of the mysterious Uncle Howdy, it felt like WWE had big plans for the former Fiend. After his match with LA Knight at Royal Rumble, the plan had been for Wyatt to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania, only for the bout to be scrapped last-minute.
We haven't seen Wyatt since and continue to hear conflicting reports about his WWE status.
During January's RAW 30, The Undertaker returned as the American Badass and briefly teamed with Wyatt before sharing a word with him that many viewed as a passing of the torch. Now, the Phenom has shared his take on how WWE should handle Bray if and when he returns.
"They need to back Bray’s character up to the original character, get away from – they’ve kind of got themselves booked into a situation where it’s kind of difficult for him to have matches," he tells Metro. "I think the original Wyatt Family Bray, that’s the money."
"I got to work with Bray at ‘Mania the year after I got concussed in the Brock match. I worked with Bray – I think a lot of him, and I like what he’s doing. I think they just have to figure out how to...they need to back it up I think."
"His promos, and then his ability to work – he’s an incredible, incredible worker but he’s not getting the opportunity to do it," The Undertaker continued. "I hope the best for him, I really do think a lot of him. We’ll see what happens there."
With any luck, we'll see Wyatt back in the squared circle sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, Vince McMahon's return has led to speculation that he's responsible for pulling Bray from television and, if that is the case, he may end up sitting out the rest of his contract at home.
Stay tuned for updates.
